Canvas, Pinsel, etc...

The Polytechnic University of the Philippines through University Center for Culture and the Arts and PUP Graduate School in cooperation with Lakan Dayang Cultural Association Inc. mounts a two- week painting exhibition billed as “Canvas, Pinsel etc 2008 Guhit Sudlungan Collection“. The exhibit opens on July 7, 2008 and is on board until July 19, 2008.

The event is organized by Lakan Dayang Chairman Joseph Reylan B. Viray and Lakan Dayang President Dr. Amalia C. Rosales. Mr. Viray is the current Chief of the Visual Arts Office of the University Center for Culture and the Arts while Dr. Rosales is the Dean of the PUP Graduate School.

Participating artists include: Neil Defeo, Alex Defeo, Joel Chavez, Jordan Dinglasan, Victor Meer, Aldrin Alarcon, Eleanor Orencio, Michael Rayo, Joseph Reylan Viray, Henry Lazaro, Carlo Castillo, Charmaine Garceron and other Guhit Sudlungan members. Guhit Sudlungan is the resident visual arts group of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.

The exhibition is dedicated to PUP President Dr. Dante G. Guevarra who celebrated his first year anniversary as PUP President. Dr. Guevarra ,who is known for his love for the arts, is himself a visual artist.
